Here goes:

Omnia vincit Amor: et nos cedamus Amori.

VERGIL

Amor timere neminem verus potest.

SENECA

I am undone: there is no living, none,
If Bertram be away. If were all one
That I should love a bright particular star,
And think to wed it, he is so above me:
In his bright radiance and collateral light
Must I be comforted, not in his sphere.
The ambition in my love thus plagues itself:
The hind that would be mated by the lion
Must die for love.

Down on your knees,
And thank Heaven fasting, for a good man's love.

WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

Open the temple gates unto my love,
Open them wide that she may enter in,
And all the postes adorne as doth behove,
And all the pillours deck with girlands trim,
For to receyve this Saynt with honour dew,
That commeth in to you.
With trembling steps, and humble reverence,
She commeth in, before th' Almighties view;
Of her ye virgins learne obedience,
When so ye come into those holy places,
To humble your proud faces:
Bring her up to th' high altar, that she may
The sacred ceremonies there partake,
The which do endlesse matrimony make.

EDMUND SPENSER

The God of love my Shepherd is,
And He that doth me feed:
While He is mine, and I am His,
What can I want or need?

GEORGE HERBERT

She fair, divinely fair, fit love for gods.

So dear I love him that with him all deaths
I could endure, without him live no life.

JOHN MILTON

Pains of love be sweeter far
Than all other pleasures are.

But love's a malady without a cure.

JOHN DRYDEN

Liebe kennt der allein, der ohne Hoffnung liebt.

FRIEDRICH VON SCHILLER

Liebe wintert nicht.

LUDWIG TIECK

There is no remedy for love but to love more.

HENRY DAVID THOREAU

Love is enough, though the world be a-waning.

WILLIAM MORRIS

Those who have courage to love should have courage to suffer.

ANTHONY TROLLOPE

In how many lives does Love really play a dominant part? The average taxpayer is no more capable of a "grand passion" than of a grand opera.

ISRAEL ZANGWILL

Who made you? God made me.
Why did God make you? God made me to know Him, love him, and serve Him in this world, and to be happy with Him for ever in the next.

A CATECHISM OF CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE

One should as a rule respect public opinion in so far as is necessary to avoid starvation and to keep out of prison, but anything that goes beyond this is voluntary submission to an unnecessary tyranny.

Of all forms of caution, caution in love is perhaps the most fatal to true happiness.

To fear love is to fear life, and those who fear life are already three parts dead.

BERTRAND RUSSELL

JEAN ANOUILH

Don't knock masturbation. It's sex with someone I love.

WOODY ALLEN

Men finder du din gud - å vær Ham tro,

ERWIN NEUTZSKY-WULFF
